Hello magic makers. Welcome back to the Spark and Ignite Your Marketing podcast. This episode, it’s a little personal. Today I’m sharing the story of how we completely rebranded from BC and Associates Marketing to Wickedly branded and how it has changed everything. Our confidence, our clarity. Our impact, but this isn’t just our story, it’s also a roadmap or a blueprint or kind of like those special instructions just for you. If you’ve ever felt like your brand doesn’t fully capture your particular magic, like you’re hiding behind something that works, but doesn’t. Wow. Then I want you to stick around today because this episode might be the spark you need to step into the brand you were meant to have. So let’s go back a little bit. For years we operated as BC and Associates Marketing. It was professional, it was solid, but something felt a little off. It kind of felt like an accounting or a law firm, and it always made us have to explain what we did. I remember sitting in a client meeting, I don’t know, a couple years ago, giving them branding advice and telling them to step boldly into their business to own what makes them unique, to stop watering themselves down. And then it hit me as I had this like out of body experience. We were not doing that for ourselves. Have you ever felt that way? Like you’re showing up in a way that’s fine, but it’s not really you. Like you’ve outgrown your brand, but you’re afraid to make a change. That was definitely us. We were the literal marketing cobblers kids with no shoes, helping everyone else create bold magnetic brands. While our own felt a little generic, something had to change. Then one day I was writing a blog post. Well, I guess a little bit before that actually, I was doing a lot of work on our services and who we are and on our branding from a color perspective, textures, how we wanted to show up a little bit more magically. Then it really kind of hit me while I was writing a blog post about the movie Wicked that had come out in November. And it was all about from a solopreneur, entrepreneur’s perspective of embracing your inner Elphaba, owning what makes you different, even when the world tells you to fit in. And at the very end of that post, I wrote a single line that changed everything. It said, dare to be wickedly branded. And in that singular moment. Something clicked. It was bold, it was sassy, it was fun, and it was totally in completely us. I quickly checked, was the website available? The social media handles those trademark, and by some miracle of magic, they were. It was like the universe was saying, this is yours. It’s meant to be yours. Own it. And so we did. Now let’s talk about what rebranding really means because it’s not just a name change, it’s not just a logo change. It is a real transformation The brand should feel like you, capital YOU. If it doesn’t, you’re playing too small, you’re watering yourself down. A strong brand should feel like slipping on the absolutely perfect outfit when that makes you stand taller, walk bolder, and own the room like a unicorn. It should be about clarity and not just design. So it’s not just about a new logo and colors, it’s about getting crystal clear on who you serve, how you help, why you’re different, and what you want to be known for. And when your brand is aligned, confidence just simply follows. Once we fully embraced this idea of being wickedly branded, everything just got easier. We started attracting the right clients. Selling felt like way more natural. Our message just clicked, and we showed up bolder, more authentic and more magnetic than ever. Heck, I even dyed my hair pink. So here’s the question, does your brand feel a hundred percent aligned with who you are and what you do.
